Roof Inspection

What Happens During a Roof Inspection?

Has it been a long time since your home had a roof inspection? Are you interested in having your roof get inspected, but aren’t sure what it would entail? Here at Journey Builders, we offer free roof inspections. We do this for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that it allows us to figure out exactly what’s going on with their roofing and how we can help. So often, we find something that the homeowner was unaware of which, if untreated, could lead to serious problems down the line. We’re often asked what goes into an inspection so we’d like to lay some of it out below that regular folks might not be aware of.

What a Roof Inspection Can Prove Definitively

As with any other kind of inspection, when we inspect your roof we’re trying to find information. Specifically, we’re trying to find out if it was installed the right way. We want to know if it’s leaking or on the verge of leaking. Much of our inspection is about determining exactly what the true condition of the roof is. From there, we can figure out what its life expectancy is, too. Many folks call us for an inspection after some kind of weather came through the area such as high winds, hail, and similar, so we can find out if there was any damage, no matter how minimal. Often, today’s “minimal damage” is tomorrow’s “serious problem.”
